Second Bloom, an Art Exhibit
Flowers have long spoken the language of the heart—expressing what words often cannot. They carry love, gratitude, celebration, remembrance, and promises made and kept. In the Summer of 2025, we featured Second Bloom, where our team at Modern Bouquet Preservation was honored to breathe new life into florals that have been discarded, giving them a second chance to be admired through the art of preservation. These flowers, once destined to fade away after life’s most memorable moments, were carefully preserved and reimagined into works of art that honor their history and meaning.
Sourced entirely from donated flowers—wedding celebrations, refreshed florist stock, and lovingly gathered remnants—each arrangement is a testament to second chances, transformation, and enduring beauty. Each piece invites you to reflect on the relationships that bloom, change, and grow, just as the flowers do.
With heartfelt gratitude, we thank our partners who made this exhibit possible: Patty's Floral Designs, Gentle Beast, The Gay Agenda, Kaululani, Mango House Florals, Haus of Puas, Watanabe, Fred and Kate Events, Debbie Hemingway, Paiko, A Perfect Day, Koolau Ballrooms, Savvy Weddings, Love Letter Weddings, Belle de Jour, Esselle Weddings, and Prince Waikiki.
La Promenade des Fleurs
A suspended garden where more than 6,000 blooms dance gently in the air, their forms frozen in time yet still full of life. Inspired by Rebecca Louise Law’s Awakening, this cascading installation immersed visitors in a journey of color and emotion—each shift in hue reflecting the ever-changing feelings we experience through connection, love, and memory.
Large Scale Art
Seen no where else on the island, we displayed large scale preservation pieces, all lovingly made by hand and designed by owner Kristen Moux.
Original Art Prints
The original pressed flower framed art that was available for viewing at the exhibit can now be purchased as prints for you to enjoy at home - no matter where in the world you live.
